 My most memorable Mom Market experience was the Yarmouth Mall Christmas Market in 2024. 

I was invited to attend the two-day event as the Grinch, and as a huge Christmas lover with a heart for spreading joy, I didn’t hesitate for a second. Seeing the smiles on people’s faces — no matter their age — was incredibly moving. The children staying close by for one-on-one moments and telling me how “cool” it was that the Grinch was their friend truly melted my heart.

To top it all off, one little girl went out of her way to purchase a special Grinch tree from a vendor at the market just to give to me. That moment was the icing on the cake — the day the Grinch’s heart truly grew three sizes bigger. I knew I was exactly where I was meant to be, surrounded by Christmas spirit, love, and community at The Mom Market.

That experience moved me so deeply that I’ll be returning to bring even more smiles and Christmas cheer on November 22 and 23 at the Yarmouth Mall Mom Market.

The Mom Market gave me a deeper appreciation for the joy of making others happy — something you can’t buy in a store. It’s something you feel when you shop local and come together through The Mom Market Collective. 

Thank you for giving our small town — and myself — so many laughs, moments of joy, and memories that simply can’t be wrapped up.

I liked how friendly and encouraging Jasmine and the other vendors were. I just started attending markets as a vendor after learning to crochet in august of 2023 and wanting to share the love I have for crocheting with others. I have received such positive and uplifting comments about my work that it has driven me to continue to grow my business. It’s never called work when you are doing something you love! Being able to put smiles on people’s faces is what continues to motivate me. My Mom Market experience took me from being a shy, quiet person to a social, outgoing person. My experience has built a new found confidence in me that I can do anything I set out to do!  

I liked networking and being part of the mom market community. Sharing tips with other vendors and learning from them. My favourite was Mariners center in Yarmouth .

I loved the community of the mom markets, everyone is so excited to be there! And Jasmine makes everyone feel welcomed! My first mom market was back in 2021 I believe I was so nervous to be brining my homemade clay earrings and wondered if people would even buy them. Jasmine and the other vendors made me feel so welcomed and encouraged me greatly! A lot of those vendors are still my close friends today! The market isn’t just about coming to buy local things, it’s so much more than that! It’s a community of like minded people who want to see you succeed in your business! That first market set the stage for business, even if you don’t sell much making relationships and connections with people is far more beneficial! I’ve loved the relationships and connections I’ve made with other vendors and customers, and I’m so excited to see what 2024 brings! I’m excited for new locations this year on the south shore!
